Before - This '67 Rickenbacker was in dire need of a complete restoration
A maple plug was cut to fill a previous third pickup rout. The rout was rerouted nice and clean, and the filler plug fit perfect. The plug was then glued, clamped, and leveled. The neck pickup cavity was then routed to the correct dimensions.
The lacquer has been buffed and the bass is being reassembled.
The Rickenbacker is almost finished in this pic. I had to custom-cut a pickguard due to the fact we couldn't find a replacement.
Finished. This one was tough to let go of! What a sound.
