Preparing to refret a 1956 Fender Stratocaster
carefully removing the frets without disturbing the fretboard itself
Cleaning the maple where the new frets will sit
The frets are being pressed in
The fret press allows for precise installation of each fret
Now for the fret dress
Other than a final polish, the job is done
Next, I installed a custom cut nut, followed by ambered lacquer and a little relic treatment
Done......time to test drive!!
Nothing beats an old guitar.....with fresh frets!
